STEPH GUMBERT

group fitness instructor

Steph found yoga in 2010 while she was a freshman in college, intrigued by the practice and having a background in athletics and gymnastics. She was quickly hooked by the calming yet powerful qualities of yoga and over time she realized she wanted to share this practice with others.

During the pandemic, she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training through the Santosha Yoga Institute in hatha-style yoga. While she loves and practices many styles, a vinyasa style flow with good music and balanced postures sprinkled throughout are her favorite. Also, she loves some pranayama and a beautiful meditation to cap off the class.

Steph is originally from Beaver County and has lived in Pittsburgh since 2016. Professionally, she is a Marketing Associate for a local economic development non-profit. When she isn’t on the mat, you can find Steph hiking or biking the local trails, attending a concert, or checking out a new spot in the city.
